I Research Background
Microecologics, also known as Probiotics, is a kind of biological agents or living bacteria preparation, which is made of normal microorganism or growth-promoting substance for microorganism. Probiotics has many kinds of functions, such as no toxicity, no residual, improving intestinal environment, promoting growth and enhancing animal immunity.

In the 1980’s, the disadvantage of antibiotic products was being known by the public gradually. So, as an alternative, Probiotics had been widely used in livestock production in the western countries. The research and application of Probiotics in China started late. After 20-year market cultivation, Probiotics was being accepted and tried by Chinese feed mills and farms gradually.

Probiotic Products have a high producing profit, up to 40-70%, and low barriers to entry. So in recent years, not only traditional Probiotics producig enterprises such as Boly-lely, KDN, and Star-Cooperate expand production, accelerate technology and product research, but also, feeding companies like Haida Group, Dabeinong, Hengxing, and Zhengbang enter into this sector. The feeding Probiotics industry in China is still in its infancy. At present, there are about 400 manufacturers in this industry. However, most of them are small-medium scale factories, with annual sales of below 5 million RMB, and there are only a few big enterprises with annual sales of over 100 million RMB.

For the past few years, the public in China pay more and more attention to food safety issues, the agricultural administration officers increase management on the behavior of antibiotics overuse, and the consciousness of healthy farming is accepted gradually. The demand of feeding Probiotics is increasing quickly, presenting broad market prospects. In 2012, China’s Probiotics sales was about 150,000 tons, and market scale reached 3.9-4 billion RMB. It Prospects that China’s Probiotics demand will increase to 200,000 tons, market scale will reach 5.3-5.5 billion RMB in 2015

This report will focus on the following questions:
(1) The demand status of feeding Probiotics products in China.
(2) The application pattern, price acceptance and evaluation of farms and feed mills towards Probiotics.
(3) Market potential of Probiotics in the future.
(4) The features of present competitive enterprises in terms of product, technology, marketing, operation, and so on.

We plan to select farms of different sizes, feed mills, Probiotics manufactories, experts and government officers as the main targets of research, and take questionnaire survey and interviews methods. This report analyzes international and national environment, current demand situation and potential, competitive landscape and main manufactories. For those caring about China’s feeding Probiotics industry, this report provides systemic, comprehensive accurate and valuable references.
